Old Theater Equipment

For sale is the original theater equipment from the movie theater in Mount Enterprise, Tx. I think that it is from the 1940's & 1950's. It includes 2 large floor projectors, Speaker & amplifier, screen. There may be some other old things that go with it. VERY reasonable

After the Civil War,
Mt. Enterprise was able to move on after the loss of several townsmenbers.
By 1880, the town had a hotel, three sawmills,
two cotton gins, three churches, a school,
and a population of 150.

"New Mt. Enterprise" was incorporated on May 8, 1915, and again on April 25, 1936.
In 1940, the town had several businesses, a bank, a newspaper, and a reported population of 622.

Stranger things have happened. My Granpa ran a (silent) theater in the '20s in a town half that size. Although the building that housed it still stands, one would be hard pressed to imagine that now-mostly-deserted town ever had a theater of any sort.

I've still got a "seating board" from his theater somewhere. From memory, it was only like 8 rows of 10 seats. My aunt played piano for effects, and dad occasionally beat the drums (they were kids then).
